1969: Killers, Freaks,
and Radicals

Collaborating with director Andrew Templeton, JLD built on and evolved the identity for this forthcoming cinematic documentary that explores and investigates shocking crimes impacted the twin college towns of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, amidst the chaos and counter-culture of the late 1960s.

The visual theme developed combines aspects of gritty true crime narratives, with the art and music culture of the late 1960s and early 1970s, drawing influences from the likes of Gary Grimshaw, the Maysles brothers, and Saul Bass.
