Michigan Innovation
Summit, 2023
Envisioning a future of innovation, growth, and prosperity, the Michigan Innovation Summit was convened in June 2023 with an aim to generate inclusive, unified strategies for Michigan’s economic development. Sponsored by the Song Foundation, Michigan Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist, and the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, the summit was convened at the Book Depository Building at Newlab - Michigan Central (Corktown, in Detroit) and united over 100 innovators, technology experts, entrepreneurs, and policy makers from around the entire state.
Collaborating with the Song Foundation/Song United, I conducted a brand discovery and strategy phase to establish a brand narrative, positioning, and aesthetic direction for the summit. This was followed by a design phase which included logo and identity design, with print, digital, and environmental collateral – invitations, summit materials, on-screen branding, event signage, and more.
