Education West Virginia
Education West Virginia (EWV) is statewide educators union consolidated in 2025 from two separate unions.
Education West Virginia was created to amplify the power and efficacy of these 2 previous unions, and to create a strong, unified voice for West Virginia educators.
Emma White Research was contracted by the West Virginia Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers-West Virginia to analyze the needs and outcomes surrounding a merger of both unions. JLD was brought in by Emma White to provide brand strategy, development, and design services. Together this 4-way collaboration named, positioned, and designed the new merged union’s brand, Education West Virginia.
