JLD was created by Jamie Latendresse, a brand developer and designer with more than 25 years experience and over a decade in creative leadership.
Providing clients with strategy, creative direction, and of course design, JLD aims to deliver impactful, value-driven solutions for a diverse range of clients, from startups and non-profit orgs to corporations and institutions.

A lot of studios say “passion”, which can mean a lot of things (and sometimes nothing). Our preferred declaration is simply a love of design, which is another way of saying creative problem solving.
We like to do a lot of things, but we love design. It’s what draws us to each project and we’ll bring that motivation to yours.

We’ve been doing this long enough to know how hard creative work can be. So we know there’s no substitute for having a good attitude, especially when challenges arise. No reason this can’t be fun you know.

JLD is a proud member of Detroit’s premier design community, responsible for countless design resources throughout the city as well as its signature Detroit Design Month series.
Queer in AI
Donating creative consulting, graphic design, and brand collateral support, JLD has been collaborating with QiAI to help its members grow the org’s brand and awareness.
Ann Arbor Skate Park
JLD has donated design services and auction artwork to the A2 Skate Park for the past 2 years, helping its organizers fundraise for key park programming.
AIGA Detroit
JLD is proud to be a member of Detroit’s longstanding chapter of the AIGA.
